Winter of Love
The third of six fashion stories for Daily Mail Ski & Snowboard magazine. Winter of Love was shot in the terrain park in Are in Sweden.
This story is all about colour and patterns . Are has a fantastic terrain park with a huge variety of rail slides, walls, spines, kickers and a great pipe. We spent the day playing in the park and managed to persuade them to keep it open just for us when the mountain was closed!!
Darryl was in his element as ever and loves hitting the rails time and time again, Chris never to be out done got stuck into the pipe and the walls. This was quite a tricky story to shoot as there were so many people in the park. We didn't have the option of closing any of the hits so we had to be very careful of all the other guys flying through the air in all sorts of different directions. Are is well known for its park and the standard of skiers and snowboarders is unbelievable. Even the 10 year olds are pulling great tricks of the biggest of kickers!
As with many of the other stories shot for the magazine we set up and then spent approx half an hour shooting each outfit and the guys could easily ski around to redo the shot as the lift axcess is fantastic in the park.Astrid and Catherine were not to be outdone and Catherine as ever refused to give up until she nailed the rail just as she wanted.
The weather also didn't want to play ball but in the end the brightness of the clothes made up for the lack of sun. What will I be wearing this season? Perhaps not a floral pattern but possibly a bright purple jacket!
